Healing begins with being heard.
Mayflower Behavioral Health provides compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric and mental health care for adults in Georgia, Washington, Iowa and Arizona state — built around one clinician's conviction that every person deserves unhurried, dignified, whole-person care.
Azeezat A. Samuel, PMHNP-BC
Azeezat A. Samuel is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Mayflower Behavioral Health. Her path into mental health care began at the bedside and in the clinic — years of listening to people on their hardest days taught her that the most powerful medicine often begins with feeling truly heard.
She began her training with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing, then earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. After graduating, she practiced as a nurse practitioner in an outpatient clinic, where she saw firsthand how much demand there was for mental health care that is accessible, unhurried, and free of stigma.
Today, she is board-certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), providing psychiatric and mental health care for adults across Georgia, Washington, Iowa and Arizona state through telehealth.
